For Ray and his wife, the decision to move to Woolooware Shores came down to finding a place that balanced independence with support — and they found exactly that. Three weeks after moving in, Ray describes their new home as “ticking all the boxes,” from its tranquil waterfront setting to the community’s exceptional onsite support and modern conveniences.

Ray and his wife were also introduced to the village’s Pelican app — a digital hub that keeps residents connected with news, updates, and services. “It gives us all our guidance and contacts right at our fingertips,” he says. “Asher ran us through how it works, and now we use it all the time.” 

When it came to getting their apartment just right, the onsite maintenance crew were close at hand. “Andrew and his team were professional and diligent in every respect,” Ray explains. “They assembled our furniture, installed handrails, hung paintings — nothing was too much trouble.” He adds that any small issues were quickly resolved thanks to the crew’s prompt and friendly service. 

Beyond the move itself, the couple has been quick to embrace the lifestyle that Woolooware Shores offers. “We’ve had our first long lunch, celebrated Father’s Day here with the family, and everyone loved it,” Ray says with a smile. “They’re appreciative of where we’ve settled.” 

From morning walks along the waterfront to afternoons in the café or pool, Ray says the facilities and sense of community make each day feel special. “I like the place, I like the environment, and the overall setting,” he reflects. “The facilities here — the gym, the café, the pool — they settle our family and therefore settle us.” 

As he looks out from his apartment’s spacious balcony across the shimmering bay, Ray sums it up simply: “In summary, we’re really happy at Woolooware Shores — we’ve definitely made the right choice.”
